Scope

This
manual
is
a
guide
for
the
battalion
com-
mander,
company
commanders,
platoon
leaders,
and
squad
leadersin
the
organizationand
operations
of
the
infantry
division
engineer
battalion,
its
component
units,
and
the
battle
group
engineer
platoon.

It
also
contains information
for
the
commander
and
staff
officers
of
the
infantry
division
on
thetactical
employment
of
the
infantry
division
engineers.

Themanual
covers
theorganization,
missions,
capabilities,
training,
employment,
and
normal
opera-
tions
of
the infantry
divisionengineer
battalion
and
