CRITERIAS OF INTEGRATED ONLINELIBRARY SYTEMS
INDEXING
Indexing is an alphabetical list of names, subjects, etc at the back of a book, withthe numbers of the pages where they can be found. It also can be define as a set of cardsor a database containing information, usually arranged in a library. Almost all librarysystem provide access to basic index type especially browse and keyword indexes. Agood library system allows staff and users to perform multiple searches or Booleansearching in OPAC (Online Publication Access Catalog). The library can also give chanceto users for many choices to search for the information. For example, the users can usekeyword, title, subject, any, left string, Boolean, Pattern, “And”, “Or”, “Not”, etc. These basic indexes can help the users to search the materials in the library become more fast.
ACCESS AND SECURITY
Access can be defined to find information, especially on a computer. Meanwhile, security is to make something safe from being attacked, harmed or lost. A good system provides access and security not only to the system but also protected the data. For example, in library the staffs can use the username and password for using specificsystem in library. In Tun Dr Ismail library known as PTDI, in OPAC there have 15modules in the system but there have only several modules that can be use for the staffsand the users only. The purpose for this reason is for access and security. It is becausethere will anybody misused of the other modules for themselves. The other modules canuse by the right authority of using it like librarian, vice chancellor of librarian, etc.

TYPES OF USERS

Types of users are depending on the type of library. Some of libraries might wantsome kind of flexibility for different types of users. For example, the public library has public users to use their services. The academic library has various types of users such asstudents, lecturers, academic staff, etc. Meanwhile, the national library has public usersand researchers to use their library. The special library is a private for the citizens becausethis library use by their staffs in the organization only. For this various type of users, thelibrary made up their services according to it. For example, the academic library give twoweeks to the students instant of borrowing ten books, or for the academic staffs, they can borrow 15 books for one month.
MEMORY
Memory is the part of a computer where information can be stored or the amountof space that can be used for storing information on a computer. A larger memory isneeded to run a variety of different programs. Adequate memory (main memory) isessential for quick and easy retrieval of data and performing repeated program. If memory is low, the program that still running will become slow and always hang whenthe users use it. In the system of integrated online library systems like ILMU, OPAC, etc, there have many aspects to consider in this system. For example, the staffs can give e-mail to the students through it and store the e-mail in this system.Unfortunately, before the organizations buy this system, they have to consider about the memory of this system because if the staffs of the library want to use the e-mailservices, they will save the e-mail and it will decrease the space of the memory.

This memory have to consider because when they bought the materials from the vendors, they have to catalog the materials and save the data in the system and because of thisreason, the memory of this system have to upgrade time to time. The library also has to backup the data that have in the system. It is because the library has to prevent anydamage or accident that come from any natural disasters. It has to made three back updata from the system of OPAC and keep it outside from the library as secure fromanything happen.
