My acid reflux was so bad I though I was having the early signs of cardiac arrest at times. After a stint in the hospital, and no diagnosis from doctors, I altered my diet mainly by switching to decaf coffee and less of it, in general. Some 3 months later and nearly all symptoms of acid reflux are gone. If you suffer from acid reflux and also habitually drink regular coffee, you should definitely try moving to tea or decaf and monitor the effects.
