This one-day workshop provides practical, step-by-step instruction in the basic elements of RADIUS for emission statement reporting. Using a computer and actual facility emission statement data, you will gain handson experience with the NJDEPs software and online resources. Students will also be able to work on their own emission statement bring your prior year RADIUS le on a disk. At the end of this session, you will be able to: Create a new emission statement in RADIUS New facility Existing facility, new to emission statement Has submitted emission statement before Prepare all sections of the emission statement in RADIUS Facility Information Forms Emission Reporting Form Submit an emission statement to NJDEP USPS, FedEx, UPS, or other private courier service Through the NJ Portal (on-line submission) Use time-saving tips to streamline the emission reporting process

This one-day program has been designed to provide you with the necessary tools to prepare eective permit applications correctly and eciently. Through hands-on use of the RADIUS application and the DEP-Online web site, in combination with expert instruction, visual presentations and handouts, students will learn both the basic and advanced features of these tools. The course will use an extensive array of case studies to illustrate various permitting scenarios. At the end of this session, you will be able to: Prepare a RADIUS air permit application, including a facility prole, component inventories, emission unit operating scenarios and potential to emit data Utilize equipment and control device detail screens Use RADIUS to import/export data and DEP Online to submit your application Use time-saving tips to streamline the application process Understand the dierences between the Preconstruction Permit and Title V Operating Permits Use RADIUS to construct emission units and operating scenarios View permit requirements using RADIUS Update and maintain your copy of RADIUS eectively Back up, transfer and manipulate your RADIUS data Perform advanced feature operations such as: merging applications, converting permits to Emission Statements and copying data to other documents Create in-process revisions Use the Internet to obtain air general permits

This two-day course is the best place to learn where, why, how and when to test for radon, as well as, when and how not to! You will learn the basics of radon science and the practice of radon measurement, with topics such as selection, placement, operation and set up of measurement devices. This course also reviews the science of radon, including: Radioactive decay & types of radiation I Average radon levels & measures I Health Risks from radon I How radon enters & moves through buildings The national prociency certication examinations (either NRPP or NRSB) are administered in the evening at the conclusion of the Radon Measurement Prociency Course. If you are interested in taking either exam, you must register for it separately from the training course at an additional cost.

You will learn how to diagnose and then correct radon problems in your home. You will also study radon mitigation structures in new construction as well as the special issues of radon in water and safety precautions for mitigation work. Please Note: completing the Radon Measurement Prociency Course prior to attending this program is highly recommended.
