Description

This is a short how-to on installing a linux operating system on a USB device. I do not include any command line code because it is not generally necessary. In some cases it is necessary to specify that you want to install the boot loader; I can't remember if it's in the document.

The new version of Ubuntu is out! I have recently been using Ubuntu on my netbook and have what I think is a pretty decent suggestion. For those who truly want a mobile computer, use this procedure to install Ubuntu (netbook version if you like) on a USB. Then, subscribe to Ubuntu One and store all of your documents on the canonical servers. That way, you can have an ubuntu computer with as much space as you like any where you go on a teeny tiny USB!
