Drugs o the morphine type range from a recen derivative known as bentley’s compound, which is about 10,000 times as powerful as morphine, to these of the codeine class, which have a realitively slight analgesic and addictive potential. In addition to heroin the following drugs are among those that are more potent than morphine.
