Description

Archdiocese of Goa replaced its patron saint on 16th January 2000. It marked the birth date of Fr. Joseph Vaz, and the start of the new millenium. The Church of Goa gave a good signal. We need different criteria for saints as models for the Asian church. The missionaries in Asia cannot continue the old model of colonial church and missionaries backed by colonial powers or multinational organizations.
