Visión General
La rápida evolución de la tecnología pone al alcance de la sociedad una grandiversidad de servicios
En poco tiempo crece por encima de las expectativas la demanda de:
–
Recepción de múltiples canales de TV (terrestre, satélite, analógico,digitales, ...)
–
Servicios interactivos (operaciones bancarias, telecompra, vídeo bajodemanda, ...)
–
Servicios de seguridad (video-telefonía, telefoníadigital, sistemas dealarmas, ...)
Se debe acercar esta tecnología a la sociedad asumiendo unos requisitosmínimos de calidad

Necesidad de regulación
Las estructuras individuales no son capaces de absorber y canalizar lademanda de nuevos servicios
Tras la liberalización de las telecomunicaciones se debe garantizar la libertadde elección de proveedores y servicios, eliminando barreras de entrada
La legislación debe garantizar al ciudadano el libre acceso a la información,que no debe quedar restringida por condicionantes tecnológicos o por faltade recursos en el inmueble
