at USOB.org.I am a Candidate for Congress of the United Statesfrom Virginia in 2004.Lara read one of my books, contacted me, attendedsome of my programs, worked for me briefly and hascorresponded with me via email for several years.Lara and I were arrested together while protestingcampaign finance corruption in the Rotunda of theCapital Building in Washington DC in January of 2000.It was a non-violent protest and we were jailed forless than six hours. If you are interested, the storyand purpose of that action, is in my report for thesecond time I was arrested for the same cause amonth later. It is in my book co-authored with NeilDonald Walsch,
Honest to God: A Change of Heartthat can Change the World 
.Lara is pissed off about abusive lying and withholdingauthorities who get by, by withholding, secrecy andhiding what they do in the name of security and soam I. I don't know if Lara would ever be violent ornot, but she hasn't been so far as I've known her,about four years.She has worked hard to demand fairness and tooppose inequality among people. Lara has told methat the clinical psych report dated 22 July 2003stated that she is very oppositional, will not conform,has over valued ideas about conspiracies which mightbe psychotic, also that she battles to functionnormally in a community due to her overvaluedideas.I pretty much agree with that report, however, Iimagine the same could probably be said of most of us who haven't been completely brainwashed,including many people in your goverment, your courtsystem, the psychologist, who made the assessmentand probably yourself in certain circumstances.I imagine you are focusing on the question is shereally dangerous as a real threat to the lives of otherpeople or not. I doubt it, but I don't know for sure, Idon't know for sure about you or me either becausein certain circumstances it would be the best thing todo.For example, if you had Anne Frank in the attic andthe Nazis knocked on the door and said, "Are thereany Jews in this house," and you knew he would killher if he found her, would you kill him or not?I would kill him if I could.The problem is, can Lara's mind be trusted to make agood assessment of which violence is appropriate inany situation. I would say probably most of the time,yes. If you want to be more certain than that youmust go to the trouble to really engage Lara in anongoing honest therapeutic conversation.I do think that if she was engaged in an ongoinghonest conversation with a professionally competenttherapist it would be a lot better for her than justbeing in jail and that some therapeutic progresscould be made with her, with regard to how sheexpresses herself and makes judgments, or how muchof if is related to past events in her life, as long asthe person engaging her wasn't just a conformitywonk.She could use some help if there is someonecompetent enough to be of help to her and who isalso an independent person.
