Rescue Ministries Update!
By Josh IniguezWinter is slowly creeping to an end and it seems like a perfect time to give a quick wordfrom the Rescue Ministry Team!As the Church, one of our roles is to meet the needs of our world. The Rescue MinistryTeam is an opportunity for members of the Salvage Yard to actively engage in meetingthose needs. Since our church’s early days, we have always focused on proclaiming theGospel of Christ to our hurting world. The shape and form of our outreach changesdepending on the leading of the Spirit, but the heart of our efforts is to introduce our worldto its Savior. It is our desire as a community of believers to see the Church actively living out their faithfor the sake of the Gospel. Our church has a number of different opportunities to getinvolved. Whether God is calling you to commit to a weekly, monthly or once a year ministry, there are numerous opportunities for you to get involved in the Rescue MinistryTeam.

Community Emergency Services
The ministry that we would like to be a blessing to this month is Community EmergencyServices.Community Emergency Services (CES) was conceived in the heart of God and birthed byHis Spirit through Augustana Lutheran Church in 1971. CES is a non-profit crisis relief and empowerment ministry that first and foremost glorifies Jesus Christ and extends hislove to those in the inner city of South Mpls.Located in Phillips Neighborhood, Community Emergency Service provides services toalmost 20,000 people annually. Our clients largely consist of low-income households, single parent families, the elderly, mentally or emotionally handicapped persons, as well asrecent immigrant groups.Through prayer support, direct aid relief, advocacy, referral and guidance, we seek tostrengthen families and individuals. Our desire is to move them beyond the crisis tofinancial stability, emotional health, personal growth and spiritual strength.Ph# (612)870-1125(TJ
