 Established in 1968 byMrs. Coretta Scott King, the King Center isthe living memorial and institutional guardian of Dr. Martin LutherKing, Jr.’s legacy. As such, the King Center's programming focuseson the following areaÂ

Developing and disseminatingprogramsthat educate the worldabout Dr. King’s philosophy and methods of nonviolence, humanrelations, service to mankind, and related teachings;

Founder's Message
 The King Center is making significant progress in our long-rangemission to spread the teachings of Martin Luther King, Jr. to a broader,global constituency. In addition, we have made dramatic improvementin the Center’s capacity to coordinate the efforts of my husband’sfollowers in the U.S. and around the world to help fulfill his Dream.
