School, conducting this interview.

This statement is being tape-recorded. Does this meet with your approval?

Hibbs
Yes.
Cohn

And I'm taking this statement in reference to the events on August the 20th, 2008, that occurred during the PRP football practice. Alex, what I want you to do is just describe for me the events of August the 20th from the beginning of practice to the end of practice.

Hibbs

When we started off, we just, it was hot. We was, we was stretchin' and uh, it was just, it was normal, we was all, we done everything normal, and uh, like I say, I was just a little bit hot, so after stretches we, we got a water break, which we never do...and uh, I guess 'cause they thought it was hot outside...

Cohn
...Um-hmm...
Hibbs

...and then they told us to soak down for about five minutes, so we...they told us to soak down...we got, we all got water at this little water thing over there that runs constantly...

Cohn
...Um-hmm...
Hibbs

...you just turn it on...and uh, after that we go to like our little like I... like pod, pods...like defense

goes...defense/offense
sign,

all that...and we, we do individual drills and we got, we did that for about 45 minutes and we got about three water breaks out of that. And each water break was about five or ten minute, so he told us to soak down 'cause it was

hot...and then after that, we uh, we was, we just did our offensive/defensive drills and we constantly kept on gettin' water breaks and then it came down we, we got, we got a water break and they told us to soak down really good...and then we was gonna go to teams.

We scrimmage, we usually at the end of practice, get up and scrimmage...

Cohn
...Um-hmm...
Hibbs

...and uh, everybody was like, when he called the first string huddle, we went to the line and everybody was kinda lolli-gaggin' just la...just lazy, just lolli-gaggin' around, and uh, he said alright If y'all, if y'all gonna do that, then we're gonna, we're gonna get into. the line and we're gonna run. And it was about maybe 5, quarter after 5, maybe, when we started runnin', and we ran about eight...about eight gassers, just across twice the field...

Cohn
...Um-hmm...
Hibbs

...uh, with our, all of our equipment on...and then he told us to take our helmets off, we took our helmets off, and we uh, we ran across maybe four, about four times...and then we took our shoulder pads...he told us to take everything off...our shoulder pads, our helmet, and we ran about maybe two, two or three, and then uh, we was all, we was all, we was all done and we was goin' back to a shade tree, and uh, he told everybody to meet up at the shade tree...but I guess a couple people kinda lollygagged off to the water, and he just got mad at 'em, 'cause he told 'em to go to the shade tree.
