Cohn
And Chase, could I get your date of birth?
Pierce
Cohn
Okay. And what's your home address?
Pierce

Cohn

Pierce

Cohn
And what's your home phone number?

Pierce

Cohn
At1:45...
This statement is being tape-
recorded. Does this meet with your approval?
Pierce
Yes, sir.
Cohn

And I'm takin' this statement in reference to the events on August the 20th of 2008, that occurred during the PRP football practice. Please describe for me in your own words uh, the events of that practice.

Pierce

Well, we started off havin' practice and we were bein' lazy, weren\u2019t having a good practice, so we had to run, like any other football coach would do...and we had to run for a while and I mean...that's all I really know.

Cohn

Okay. Now when y'all, when y'all started your practice, how did that start off? Do you remember what time practice started that day?

Pierce
Uh, no, sir.
Cohn
What time does it normally start?
Pierce
It depends because sometimes freshmen have
study hall...
Cohn
...Um-hmm...
Pierce

...but uh, if we don't, we get down there around 3...if freshmen do have study hall then the freshmen, we'll get out there around 3:30, 3:45.

Cohn
Do you remember...
Pierce
...Practice usually start around 3 to 4, somethin'

like that.
Cohn
...Depending if, if the freshmen have study hall
or not?...
Pierce
Yeah.
Cohn
Okay. Do you know if the freshmen had study
hall that day?...
Pierce
I have, I'm not sure.
Cohn

Okay. And then so as you go to practice, what kind of things were you doin' when you first started practice?

Pierce

Uh, what we usually do, we just uh, start out with team take-off, we split up in to groups and we warmed up...well, we started off warmin' up...and uh, I don't know very much more.

Cohn
Okay. Uh, did you all get water breaks during
the, that uh, first part of the practice?
Pierce
Yes, sir.
Cohn
How'd that work? Did you do...tell me how
you got your water breaks.
Pierce

...We, we would warm up, then we do team take-off, then we get water, and then we'd go uh, split up in to our groups, do some drills, all that, and get some water, and then we usually we come together and have scrimmage. And in between that, you know, first string, they go get water, then the second string would come in, they'd, you know, rotate.
