About Demos
Demos is a greenhouse for new ideas which can improvethe quality of our lives.As an independent think tank,weaim to create an open resource of knowledge andlearning that operates beyond traditional party politics.We connect researchers,thinkers and practitioners to aninternational network of people changing politics.Ourideas regularly influence government policy,but we alsowork with companies,NGOs,colleges and professionalbodies.Demos knowledge is organised around five themes,which combine to create new perspectives.The themesare democracy,learning,enterprise,quality of life andglobal change.But we also understand that thinking by itself is notenough.Demos has helped to initiate a number of practical projects which are delivering real social benefitthrough the redesign of public services.We bring together people from a wide range of backgrounds to cross-fertilise ideas and experience.Byworking with Demos,our partners develop a sharperinsight into the way ideas shape society.For Demos,theprocess is as important as the final product.
