This memorandum provides a list of the weapons and ammunition currently authorized for utilization by the SWAT Team: Current weapons utilized by the SWAT Team they are as follows:

Current ammunition utilized by the SWAT Team: 9mm jacketed hollow point rounds .40 cal jacket hollow point rounds .45 cal jacketed hollow point rounds .223/5.56 hollow point boat tail match rounds .223/5.56 soft point tactical rounds .308/7.62 hollow point boat tail match rounds .308/7.62 ballistic tip match rounds 12ga. slugs rounds 12ga. buckshot rounds

Training only ammunition:


9mm, .40 cal, .45 cal, and .223(5.56) full metal jacket and frangible rounds, 12ga. Birdshot rounds

Less than lethal/door breaching/distraction devices


12 ga specialty ammunition L/L stabilized bean bag 37 mm specialty ammunition for less than lethal and chemical deployment. 40mm specialty ammunition for less than lethal and chemical deployment. Hand held canisters/devices for chemical deployment, less than lethal, and distraction devices. Taser X26/X3
