Seaside Elementary School Teacher Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography
San Jose: Detectives from the San Jose Police Department's Sexual Assault Unit (Child Exploits/ Internet Crimes Against Children) conducting on going investigations into child pornography developed information on a subject who they believed was in possession of child pornography. The detectives obtained a search warrant for a residence on the 200 block of La Pala Drive in East San Jose. The detectives served the search warrant at the subject's residence on La Pala Drive in San Jose, and located evidence of child pornography. On March 13, 2013 at approximately 11:30 A.M., detectives from the San Jose Police Department's Sexual Assault Unit arrested 44 year old elementary school teacher Nathan Forstell at Martin Luther King Elementary School in Seaside, California on the charge of possession of child pornography. The suspect Forstell was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on March 13, 2013. Suspect Forstell was previously employed by the Alum Rock Union School District as a substitute teacher from 2008-2011. Suspect Forstell worked at various schools within the district. Detectives are currently trying to determine the identity of the children from the evidence they collected.
