ABSTRACT
Labels are the important thing on food products. It’s to provide correct and clear information about any packaged food product before purchase and consumethe food. Labels which are good and true will giving the customers to choose the products required. Small-Scale Food Industries (IRTP) as one of the small-medium industries which are producing processed food in any packaged that concentrated on aspects on food labeling. Poor practice of food labeling as one of the problems by IRTP. It’s caused the lack of knowledge by small-scale food industries (IRTP) about food labeling. The steps of this study is assessing labeling regulation, collecting primary data on respondents knowledge about food labeling, discussions and providing the data. Knowledge of IRTP about food labeling can be analyzed using the internal and external factors. Internal factorsinclude age, position, level of education and socioeconomic status, but external  factors include secondary data sources such as Public Health Reports, BPOM  Reports and Regulation of food labels. By knowing Small-scale Food industries(IRTP) perceptions on food labels can increase the knowledge of the correct food labeling, especially on the Government Regulation on Food Labeling. On theother side that to know the characteristics IRTP about their perceptions. Theanalysis used to measure the characteristics of IRTP perceptions using Spearmancorrelation test. This correlation is measured from 0 to 1. If the number close toone, the relationship between two variable is strongest, but if the number close to zero, the relationship between two variable is weakness. Meanwhile, to determinethe relationship between characteristics IRTP perceptions using ANOVA test.
