Having my period at 10 years old; with a regular heavy to moderate flow for an average of 9-10 dayshad an impact on my life and with the ThalassemiaMinor it increased the symptoms.
Even my hateful Mother felt pity for me, but notbecause of the Thalassemia Minor.
*Dot's first period story, just one more of her self indulgent pity parties
*Dot's obsession with my menstruation stories
Most females are temporarily anemic sometimesand I'm sure they milk it for all it's worth.
Most females get their periods (back then) at age 14and theirs only averaged 4 days with a moderate tolight flow (I'd complied the data from femalesmyself).
I think that a visit from Fannie Bilingslea (Summer 1971) was supposed to make me think my periodflow was not a big deal because Fannie said shehad an extreme flow, but she clearly had some sortof an abnormality that had nothing to do with myblood disorder.
