Roof trusses are frames made up of timber thatis nailed, bolted or pegged together to formstructurally interdependent shapes of greatstrength. Never remove, modify or cut into aroof truss without consulting a StructuralEngineer: your roof could fall down!
Roof trusses have to withstand the weight of the roof timbers and coverings (the ‘DeadLoad’), plus a factor for your local Wind Load,plus a factor for your local Snow Load, plus aSafety Factor.
