Re: Proposed 64 Avenue Overpass at Highway 10
Further tothe etter om Sheri Plewes to you dated March 5, 2008, | would like to state very
clearly the postion of the Province en the Council mation of March 3, 2008 regarcing tha 64
‘Avenue Overpass.
‘The Province signed an Agreement in Principle (AIP) with 12 other parties on June 28, 2007 for
the Roberts Bank Rell Corror. ‘The AIP opectically refered to the 84 Avenue Overpass
‘analyzed and justied in the Roberts Bank Rall Corridor Road/Rall ntorface Study (Study).
‘That alignment was the resuit of several years worth of technical analyes, public consultation,
‘and pariner collaboration. The Identfeation of benefits, costs and prioriies were developed
based on the project defined In the Study, and offer significant network and system benefits and
provides the community with en optimal solution.
It should be clear that there is no commitment from the Province inthe AIP to move funds to
‘another project. As such, should the Townahip choose not to support the 64 Avenue Overpass
Droject commited toin he AIP, that decision wil be respected. However, in that case, the
Provines will not fund another alignment and wil allocate the funde to other unt prortae,
‘Youre truly,
4
