Monolingual babies at this age show the mismatch response for both the Spanish and English contrasting sounds, indicating that they notice change in both languages. But at 10-12 months of age, monolingual babies only respond to the English contrasting sound.
Bilingual babies do not show the mismatch response between 6-8 months, but at 10-12 months they show the mismatch for both sounds
