for not successfully com pleting a Vessel Safety C heck.
Vessel Exam iners provide you w ith a copy of the vessel safety
c h e c k fo rm , a llo w in g y o u to m a k e th e re c o m m e n d e d s a fe ty
im p ro v e m e n ts a t y o u r o w n d is c re tio n .
And w hile the VSC decal w on\u2019t necessarily preclude board-
in g s b y la w e n fo rc e m e n t a u th o ritie s , it c a n g iv e y o u c o n fi-
dence that such encounters are as positive as possible.

How It W orks

A Vessel Exam iner w ill m eet you at your boat at a prearranged tim e o r d u rin g a V S C e v e n t a t a m a rin a , b o a t ra m p , e tc ... T h e E x a m in e r w ill c h e c k th e p re s e n c e a n d c o n d itio n o f a p p ro x i- m ately fifteen item s required by state and federal regulations.

A dditionally, they w ill discuss item s that are recom m ended but
not required... and answ er your questions on boating safety.

A ty p ic a l V e s s e l S a fe ty C h e c k ta k e s a p p ro x im a te ly tw e n ty m in u te s . A t th e c o n c lu s io n o f th e c h e c k , y o u \u2019ll re c e iv e a copy of the Vessel Safety Check form and \u2014 if your vessel

presented on the spot.
