5. In the New Testament John was filled with the Holy Ghost.
Luke 1:15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.
Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost.
Luke 1:11 And there appeared unto him anangel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense.
Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost.
Luke 1:67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying,
The disciples at Pentecost were filled with the Holy Ghost.
Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave themutterance.
Peter was filled with the Holy Ghost.

Paul was filled with the Holy Ghost in Acts 9:17 and again in Acts 13:9.
Acts 9:17 And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest,hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. Every Christian is commanded to be filled with the Holy Spirit (Eph. 5:18). The commandis to be obeyed but what does it mean?
“And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit”
The Pentecostals says it means to be able to speak in tongues.
The Dispensationalists says it means to be endwelt by the Holy spirit and to have nounconfessed sins.
The New Testament seems to teach that whenever people were filled with the Holy Spiritthey all witnessed for Christ with power so that souls were saved.
John the Baptist was filled with the Holy Ghost with the promise that
"many of thechildren of Israel shall he turn to the Lord (Luke 1:13-16).
