Kingdoms of Glory
Preparation:
Have pictures and wordstrips cut out and ready to use with flannel board
Opening Song: “Families Can Be Together Forever”
~
We receive rewards according to our works and desires (see D&C 137:9).

Do you remember what happens after we’re resurrected? That’s right, we’ll be judged. Let’s read a scripture about this (D&C 137:9). What are we judged by?“Works” and “desires” (What we did and what we wanted). What happens to usif we made good choices during our life on earth? Yes, we go to heaven. But have you ever wondered if everyone goes to the same place in heaven? Joseph Smith wondered this, and when he was thinking about it, HeavenlyFather gave him an amazing vision. He got to see into heaven! He saw that there are three places, or kingdoms, forpeople to go in heaven. (Place the sun, moon, and star on flannel board).
~
Those who receive the gospel and live it valiantly throughout their lives willreceive the celestial kingdom (see D&C 76:50-70).

D&C 76:70This kingdom is where Heavenly Father and Jesus are. People who believed in Jesus Christ, were baptized, and lived the gospel valiantly during their time onearth will go to the celestial kingdom. They will live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ forever.
~
Honorable people who are “blinded by the craftiness of men” and who are “not valiant in the testimony of Jesus Christ” receive the terrestrial kingdom (seeD&C 76:76, 79).
D&C 76:71This kingdom is for the people who obeyed some of the commandments, butwere not valiant in their testimonies of Jesus. Also for the people who did not believe the gospel when they heard it here on earth, but then did believe it whenthey heard it after they died. People in the terrestrial kingdom will see Jesus. Butthey cannot live with Heavenly Father and Jesus.

~
Those who sin and do not repent will receive the telestial glory after they suffer and pay for their sins
D&C 76:81Next Joseph saw the telestial kingdom. People who live in the telestial kingdomwere not righteous on earth. They never accepted the gospel on earth or afterthey died. People here will not see Heavenly Father or Jesus Christ. But angelswill visit these people, and the Holy Ghost will teach themThe Celestial Kingdom is the only place where we can be a family forever. Whatwill we need to do to get there? Why is it so important to make good choices andwant good things during this life on earth?Bear testimony, sharing love for your family and desire to be with them in theCelestial Kingdom some day. Also your testimony of our Redeemer, who makesit possible for us to have this most precious of all blessings!
