This fall we hosted a Summit to assist in the development of the Omineca Beetle ActionCoalition’s ‘Future Forest Products and Fibre Use Strategy’. In order to obtain feedback,innovative ideas, and assistance in addressing future challenges, a number of individuals werecalled upon to participate in the ‘Future Forest Summit’, held September 19
, 2008, at theUniversity of Northern British Columbia. We received a great deal of support from individualsacross the region, and would like to specially thank all Summit participants. These individualstook time from their positions in businesses, government, community organizations, and industryand were a key resource in the development of this project. A listing of participating individualsis in Appendix A.Special thanks to members of the Omineca Beetle Action Coalition who helped to provide inputand feedback on the project. This includes Elizabeth Andersen and Herb Langin.
