Rugby Coaching Ebook1
Sam Vesty - autobiog
I have been a professional rugby player forover 13 years, building up a wealth of top-level experience. I started mycareer atLeicester Tigers, for whom I made 176appearances. During my time there, Iplayed – and won – three Premiershipfinals and one EDF Cup final. I also playedin two Heineken Cup finals. In 2009, I fulfilled every boyhood rugbyplayer’s dream and represented mycountry, winning two caps against Argentina. In 2010, I joined Bath Rugbyand have so far made over 50appearances for the club.Over the years, I have played under somegreat coaches who really sparked myinterest in that side of the game and Irecently completed my RFU level 3coaching badges, which enable me tocoach at the highest level. While playing for Bath, I have startedlearning my trade as a backs coach, working with Frome RFC.My motivation behind this E-Book was toillustrate some of the core coachingprinciples I have picked up over the yearsand share some of my favourite backs'moves that will help you open up thoseincreasingly tight defences. As always, a decent set-piece platformfrom those blokes with the numbers 1 to 8on their shirts will help them run moresmoothly.Good luckand enjoy.Sam
