How Tax The Rich Became Plunder Everyones Paycheck

You've been invited here ( End Class Warfare (FairTaxers) Facebook group http://www.facebook.com/groups/endclasswarfare ) to learn about the FairTax and, in so doing, to realize how the income tax has been used by the "political elite" to manipulate us, to pit us, citizen against citizen, to pit us, poor against rich, to conceal our true tax load, to misdirect us as to the core of the problem. The 1913 income tax act was passed in the same year as the Federal Reserve Act. It was sold as a "tax on the rich." Its real purpose was to ensure that the private bankers of the Fed, who would now print the currency, would get their interest on the "certificates," then "notes," they printed. http://bit.ly/freedomfascism Motivated by the needs of war, economist Milton Friedman proposed a tax-collection scheme whereby Washington DC could make first-claim upon our earnings - taking theirs first (BEFORE WE have benefit thereof) - by WITHHOLDING money from our paychecks. Friedman's idea was codified in passage of the "Current Tax Payment Act of 1943." Though Friedman advocated its dismantling after WWII, politicians would never rescind it. Withholding has simply forestalled the realization of how inefficient, expensive, destructive, and wasteful the income tax collection process actually is. Tax withholding from paychecks has ushered in an empire of predatory consumer credit to service the shortfall that many working households experience.

The PERSONAL income tax and PAYROLL tax has made you and me servants to politicians. They rely on our employment to confiscate our hourly labor. And it begins with DOLLAR ONE of our young peoples' FIRST wage-earning job.

Wasted Lives, in Compliance

The income tax places us IN SERVITUDE to Washington DC. Our ENSLAVEMENT is codified in the INTERNAL REVENUE CODE, and our servitude is comprised of 6.1 BILLION hours each year JUST COMPLYING with its filing requirements (individual taxpayers and businesses, according to an analysis of IRS data by the Taxpayer Advocate Service). The Tax Foundation estimates the financial cost of this (NON-PRODUCTIVE) compliance to exceed $265 billion. This amounts to imposing a 22.2-cent tax compliance surcharge for every dollar the income tax system collects. By 2015, compliance costs are expected to grow to $482.7 billion... if, in fact, the income tax is still around! http://www.impactlab.net/2006/01/19/the-coming-collapse-of-income-tax

What You Dont Know About Corporate Income / Payroll Tax

The CORPORATE income tax made (especially BIG) business beholden to DC politicians, and the trade in tax favors has flourished. Corporations employ lobbyists to negotiate favorable "tax treatment" in return for campaign donations. http://bit.ly/schoenbergscript Corporate tax attorneys and tax-planning (avoidance) consultants are employed to navigate the code. And, in some cases, off-shore agents are paid to hide taxable revenue. http://bit.ly/romneyoffshore The effect of this tax is only to HIDE individuals' actual tax burden in corporate passthroughs: higher prices, and/or lost jobs, and/or lost dividends to shareholders (affecting, among other entities, the retirement investments of many of those same individuals).

WE, brother- and sister-citizens, PAY FOR ALL OF IT... and not only in dollars. The poor and low-income are hurt the worst under this system. The corporate tax has driven companies, and jobs, out of the country. With fewer jobs, citizens have become more dependent upon the government, and the once-bright vision of the "American dream" has become a quaint notion. Many now subscribe to the erroneous belief that, through its taxing power, Washington DC has the answers to prosperity.

Stop The Ranting, Start Investigating: Re-open Broad Access To The

Wealth Ladder
For reasons that you'll discover, the FairTax eliminates this deceptive and unfair income tax system and corrects taxation to tax us, directly, VISIBLY, and more progressively than the income tax system. Corporations no longer have tax / compliance costs to PASS THROUGH IN HIGHER PRICES to you and me. What does this mean for the rich? It means they'll no longer be able to "write-off" perks through their companies enjoying the benefits of their wealth at our (poor and middle-class's) expense. It means their corporations will no longer be able to "protect their market turf" thru favorable "tax treatment" written into the tax code BY THEIR LOBBYISTS. It means an influx of business into America as the premier tax-free zone for global business. And with those companies, will come an abundance of JOBS, demand for LABOR, and upward pressure on WAGES. To see clearly what households of varying sizes will actually pay under the FairTax, review: http://whatyoupayunderfairtax.blogspot.com/ Keep in mind: It's a tax on SPENDING (not income). WE CONTROL WHEN, and HOW MUCH, WE PAY based on WHAT we purchase (used goods are not taxed), and WHEN we purchase it. We have confidence that those who have the means to live lavishly will also pay a much higher effective tax rate, paying their FAIR SHARE (truly "voluntarily").

The FairTax plan is a comprehensive proposal that replaces all federal income-and payroll-based taxes with a dollar-for-dollar federal revenue replacement, and, through companion legislation, the repeal of the 16th Amendment. This nonpartisan legislation (HR 25 / S 122 in the current 113th Congress) abolishes all federal personal and corporate income taxes, gift, estate, capital gains, alternative minimum, Social Security, Medicare, and self-employment taxes and replaces them with one simple, visible, federal retail sales tax -- administered primarily by existing state sales tax authorities. The IRS is disbanded and defunded. The FairTax taxes us only on what we choose to spend on new goods or services, not on what we earn. The FairTax is a fair, efficient, transparent, and intelligent solution to the frustration and inequity of our current tax system. The FairTax enables us to "climb the wealth ladder," because we will no longer be dragging the government along on every dollar earned, and savings and investment returns are not taxed. FairTax frees us from the "politics of envy," and will mitigate the great divide between Left and Right in matters of "social justice" - to the extent that these are exascerbated by disparity of economic opportunity.
