EXERCISE:
Following is an exercise which will give you an idea about how touse your time effectively and avoid wastage of time.READ OUT THE FOLLOWING ARTICLE AND GIVE ANSWER TOQUESTIONS AT THE END OF ARTICLEThere is a person called yash. He used to get awake at 8:30 a.m. After he was awake, he used to spend hours talking to friendsand relatives on phone. After taking bath, it was time to havesome breakfast. He had to travel by bus and reach his office. Hewas working as an accountant in one of leading companies of pune. By the time he used to reach his office, he used to behungry again, since he always used to reach late at his office anddue to this he could never complete his breakfast on time. He hadto reach office by 9:30 but he used to reach by 10:15. His bossused to always remain angry with him since his desk used toalways seemed messed up, full of undone and uncompleted files

given to him. One more reason for his why his desk remainedmessed up was the DISORGANIZATIONof files. Once the file which iscompleted should be kept somewhere else apart from the fileswhich are not completed, but he is very lazy to do that and so allhis completed and incomplete files are mixed up and all spreadon his desk. Yash was a very good hearted person. He has one good qualityand that is being helpful to others. Whenever his co-employeetells him to complete their files, he cannot say NO, which meanshe is not practical. He never understands that its nice to be goodhearted but we should complete our work first and then helpothers. One more reason why his work remains incomplete is hisUNCLEAR OBJECTIVES.

He never plans his work. Heis always confused whether which file to complete first and whichfile should be completed afterwards. One day yash decided that he will not let his work get affected. The obstacles like unclear objectives, disorganization and his

inability to say no
are not letting him complete his work and so hewill try to remove these obstacles. But the telephone startedinterrupting him.

He had to attend various types of calls like personal calls, officerelated calls etc but he could not say no to them. He didn’t evencare that his lunch time was being wasted in attending thosecalls. Actually his health was getting affected but he was careless. He simply could not tell them that he has a lot of work tocomplete so he shall discuss the unurgent matters, once hereaches home or while he is travelling by bus. Apart from his regular job, he also has a part time job. Pressureto perform well and complete work at part time job, troubles him.He has
so many things
to do which are far awayfrom his capacity to do work. Due to this his is normally verystressed out by the time he reaches home. He reaches homearound 9:30 which means he has no time to relax.
