Description

To determine the 25 most corrupt Bush administration officials, CREW reviewed hundreds of articles, thousands of pages of court records, inspector general reports from multiple agencies, and four years of U.S. Department of Justice public documents. CREW found and documented more than 160 cases of significant criminal behavior and/or misconduct over the last six years and then whittled the list down to 25 by weighing the following factors: 1) type of criminal activity and level of misconduct; 2) seniority or level of influence of the official; and 3) impact on the public trust.

This is all penny-ante stuff by, mostly, career civil servants who had their jobs before Bush ever came to office. Furthermore this report states that their actions were often subsequently determined to have NOT been wrongful. Many never came close to acting against the "public good." The person in first place on the list was convicted of SHOPLIFTING---this is supposed to be Bush corruption?

It's hard to imagine that there is anyone out there that really believes these people are directly linked to any administration. Most, if not all, are career civil servants whose careers have spanned several administrations. Yes, most of them were probably in place before and during the Clinton administration. This is an inconvenient truth for those trying to link these people to Bush.

Marlowe was a Civil Servant who was promoted to his position during the reign of the Clinton Crime Family. He was just the tip of the iceberg, however. One DISA employee in Chambersburg, PA was allowed to retire, after being promoted to GS-15, because he helped to rat Marlowe out.

Maybe they will make it all into a horribly painful and ironic musical?

Compelling doc, but it reads like a sardonic take on Broadway theater cast programme biographies. :-)

I salute you for narrowing down to 25. Must have been tough.

I predict a 25-way tie.

This sounds like it might make a good board game. Can you find the most corrupt Bush administration official? Who will win? It is pretty stiff competition.
