Process of Competency Mapping behavioral and Skills

MD & MCM committing to the process of competency mapping and skills mapping. Creating the framework-External consultants creating the frame work to map the competencies and the format to capture the data. Identification of job families -HOD's identifying job families. Eg: in EBU (salesChannel and Direct, products and Solutions etc) Identification of unique job roles -Unique roles within their families have to be identified this would be done by the HOD and his core team. Creation of ideal profiles - for the identified unique roles, consultants based on the inputs of the HOD and SME (within the company and immediate supervisors and incumbents) will create the ideal profile 2 strategies could be used a) create Ideal competency levels ( behavioural as well as fucntional) per unique job. b) Ad hoc select the rating 3 as the minimum level that a job should have. Evaluation- of the incumbent against the ideal/ required competency level. Gap analysis -Analysis of the gaps and development of a strategy to reduce them.
