In this context APCL has developed new teachinglearning methodology called .Bihar has the lowest literacy rate in India. In fact, it constitutes one of the densest areas of illiteratesin the world. One of the major reasons of this is the total alienation of underprivileged sections ofsociety from the educational world. It is rather surprisingthat even after 60 years some of the communities likeMusahars have less than 10% of literacy. So, far we haveconsidered it as a problem of access. But despiteopening schools we have not succeeded in bringingthese children and ensure their retention there. There is agreat need to relook at the pedagogic issues from the viewpoint of underprivileged taking their socio culturalcontext in mind and work for designing systems todevelop their creativity. In this contextsystem based on the concept of multiple intelligencecan be used for bringing the best among children andbring equity in educational achievement.
