I think that the most likely location of the two seas in in Bahrain, literally "The land of the two sea's", where freshwater springs emerge into the saltwater of the Persian Gulf.

A more reasonable interpretation would be that the salty sea is all the Earths Oceans combined and the other non-salty sea is the Earths freshwater. I have discussed this in more detail in this presentation. Flat Earth Koran 12 of 13 - Koran Science & Cosmology (Part 3).

The problem with this interpretation is that it contradicts surah 25:53 which says that one of the two sea's is made of saltwater and that the other is made of freshwater.
