Rolling Mills of ArcelorMittal Ostrava a.s.
Rolling Mills are holder of certificates:
- Quality System Management according to
EN ISO 9001 since the year 1992
- Environmental Management System according
to EN ISO 14001 since the year 1997.

Furthermore they obtained and renew on regular
base the certificates of comformity to the product technical requirements:

- TZS Praha for the deliveries to domestic
market and EU market
- ZETOM Katowice for the deliveries to Poland

- IBDIM Warszawa for the deliveries to Poland

- TSS Bratislava for the deliveries to Slovakia

- TV NORD CERT for the deliveries to export.
Hot rolled products of structural non-alloy steels
will be delivered according to EN 10025-2:2004
(or its identical national modifications e.g. DIN EN,
SN EN) and with CE marking.
Products manufactured according to others standarts can only be delivered without the conformity marking with a notification included in the
sales contracts that the products are not destined for the use in the construction industry.

Rolling Mills of ArcelorMittal Ostrava a.s. are a
traditional producer of long products in the Czech
republic. Long products mainly for constructions
and structures, are produced at two Sections Rolling Mill, and one Continuous Wire Rod Mill. The
Heavy Section Mill produces heavy and medium
section steel, from the simple sections, trough the
shaped bars, special section bars and I, IPE and U
bars, up to the size of 220 mm.

The continuous Wire-Rod Mill produces hot rolled
stell wire rod, and reinforcing bars of small
diameters. The medium Section Mill which was
put in operation in the year 1981 produces
a variety assortment of hot rolled long products:
fine and medium sections of basics shapes, ribbed
reinforcing bars, I, IPE bars up to 140 mm size, U
bars up to 120 mm size and some special profiles.

The limit deviations of nominal diameter are valid for supplies of bars according to H 425517 standard Round bars from steel grades of classes 10 and 11 hot rolled for screw mills.
The bars according to SN 425510 standard from the Medium Section Mill in the limit deviation with increased accuracy of production can be supplied upon agreement only.
The diameter 39 mm (according to DIN 1013/2:1976) common accuracy upon agreement with the producer only.

Round bars for production mill ball according to internial standards. Steel grade 11 901 according H 41 1901 standard.

Notice: Round bars of diameter 70 - 110 mm from Heavy Section Mill are delivered upon agreement with the producer and sales department. These sizes are the subject of irregular production.

These steels with the guaranteed Al content 11 378, 11 448 and 11 523 ( incl. equivalents according to foreign standards) of diameters from 10 to 20 mm can be supplied upon agreement
with the producer only.

There is possibility to supply also other steel grades according to other standards upon agreement.
Plain structural steel grades with higher carbon content 11 500, 11 600 a 11 700, (incl. equivalents according to foreign standards) steel grade 11 448 (incl. equivalents) and carbon steel grades
(12 010 12 061) are supplied in size from the diameter of 22 mm. Diameters 10 to 22 mm are delivered upon agreement only.

Steel grades of class 12 060 and 12 061 and theirs equivalents according to the foreign standards upon agreement.
Steel grades according to EN 10025-2:2004 are delivered in treatment conditions + AR

It is possible to supply the ribbed reinforcing bars from the Continuous Wire-Rod Mill


upon agreement with the following lengths:

Bundling and marking of bundles in general:
Rolled material is put in bundles of weight up to 5 t, which are tied with wire. In case of section bars deliveries from the Heavy Section Rolling Mill at three points at
minimum. Larger number of ties is possible by agreement with the operating division. Deliveries from the Medium Section Mill are tied at 3 points. Larger number of
ties from the Medium Section Mill is possible upon agreement. Bundles are marked with descriptions directly on rods, or are marked with labels with the required sign.
Weight of bundles of reinforcing bars from the Continuous Wire-Rod Mill is 3,5 t at maximum. They are tied at 4 points with the binding wire by double tie.
Way of bundling and marking of bundles upon agreement with Export Department.

Wire rod and ribbed reinforcing steel bars


Wire rod and ribbed reinforcing bars from the Continuous Wire Rod Mill are delivered in coils.

inside diameter approximately 850 mm
Single coils are tied at 2 points with the binding wire.
For export, the coils are tied by two (or 3) pieces in bundles with the binding wire at 4 points.
