The Hillcrest Business Association (HBA) represents over 1,300 businesses in San Diego’s premiere urban neighborhood. The HBA is seeking a member directory as an addition to their website.
Existing conditions:
The HBA has two web sites, one that acts as the organizational site“HillcrestBIA.org” and one that acts as the consumer facing site “FabulousHillcrest.com”. There iscurrently no online directory or list of comprehensive member information online.
Description of work:

Be designed in alignment with the look of the HBA’s current site

Have the ability to serve all 1,300 individual member pages (if needed) that display listinginformation such as hours of operation, brief descriptions, map location, and a link to their web site

Be searchable by business name, organized by categories, and allow users to filter by allthe businesses attributes provided above

Be is SEO optimized for relevant keywords to drive organic traffic to business profiles

Have geo-coded data so that an online mobile map allows consumers to search for  businesses ‘near me’ with standard functions such as: zooming, satellite view, street view, walking directors and driving directions

Be mobile friendly on all popular mobile platforms (iPhone and Android) so that each local business is easily viewed on a phone screen or tablet sized screen – listings should alsoinclude click-to-call buttons and ‘view map’ buttons

Consistently have reliable data and contact information, therefore maintenance of thedatabase/directory should be provided by the contractor, but access to the database mustalso be granted to the HBA

Integrate social media tools for social sharing and include a social message feed that pullsin all business posts from Facebook and Twitter as a widget
