The Fargo Beat
Fargo-Moorhead Social & Word of Mouth Network
March 28, 2013
I’ve always been a little disturbed at the thought of the Easter Bunny (especially adult sized
bunny costumes
how creepy is that?), so I did a little digging on the origins. I dedicated agood 2-4 minutes of shallow
internet research so I’m pretty certain this
is fact. Apparently itdates back to feasts in honor of spring and fertility, and we all know rabbits are supposedlyprolific at reproducing.
I guess it’s not so much
celebrating getting it on to procreate but thebunny & eggs symbolize new life with the coming of spring. Now you have something to add tothe Easter dinner table conversation. You
re welcome.

Quartet (PG-13)
Beecham House is abuzz. The rumor circling the halls is that the home
for retired musicians is soon to play host to a new resident. Word is, it’s a star. For
Reginald Paget (Tom Courtenay), Wilfred Bond (Billy Connolly) and Cecily Robson(Pauline Collins), this sort of talk is p
ar for the course at the gossipy home. But they’re in
for a special shock when the new arrival turns out to be none other than their formersinging partner, Jean Horton (Maggie Smith). Her subsequent career as a star soloist, and the ego that accompanied it, split up their long friendship and ended her marriageto Reggie, who takes the news of her arrival particularly hard. Can the passage of timeheal old wounds? And will the famous quartet be able to patch up their differences in
time for Beecham House’s
gala concert?
