You asked for it, you got it… Another paper shoot came your way thismonth in the form of anInternational round. 11 shootersshowed up and some additionalworkers came for the work party.The club 3D shoot followed the nextday. (Sunday March 15). Check outthe website. John Bowersox has been postingthe event scores and pictures.We have some target houses that needreplacing, so a work party will have to beorganized to build them. If you can help, giveRick a call.We also still need someone with a loader,or bobcat and dump truck to pick up the dirtfrom the airplane club in the park and move itover to our Broadhead pit. I know huntingseason either started, or starts soon. Thoseclub members that want a place to site your bows need to coordinate and ‘make the pithappen’. Call Rick if you can help with either of these projects. (561-644-8687)We’re trying to encourage participation atthe work parties, so that the same 6 - 8people don’t do all the work for the 70+members. More importantly, we want toreward the few that do the work, so now,when you show up for 4 work parties, you willbe given a free club shoot. It’s not much, butit’s our way of letting you know we appreciateyour efforts.We’re also still looking for another shipping container to store our equipment. If anyone has any contacts, let us know!Darren is trying to put together a weekly3D league. We already have a few peopleinterested. Call him to join in.There are items for sale! Look for the ad inthis newsletter. It may be just the bargainyou’re looking for.May you always hit where you aim, and aimin the right spot!

KIDFEST is coming. This is aPalm Beach County eventthat promotes physicalfitness in children. Severalsports clubs are there. GCAhas been hosting the Archerybooth for several years. LarrySites works hard with ahandful of volunteers tointroduce the kids to thesport we love. Last year6,400 kids were able to shootsome arrows and learn a bitabout the sport. The club hasgotten some of its membersfrom this experience. It willbe in July at the PBFairgrounds. Larry is tryingto get a list of people thatcould volunteer a few hoursover the 2 days it takesplace.Themorevolunteers, the less each onehas to work, and the morekids we can give a chance totry the sport.
