Todd:
Well, what aboutclothes? Like, are you abrand name person?
Melissa:
No, not at all. That’s not my style.
Todd:
Yeah, so whatdetermines your style? What influences you?
Melissa:
Well, what I dowhen I go shopping. Iusually have something inmind that I want to buy, soeither a certain color or just a certain item of clothing and then I lookaround at all the differentshops and compare thebest prices and things likethat, and then I'll buy theone that's the best dealand I'll feel really goodabout it.
Todd:
So for your style,do you look around andalso you say, "Oh, I likewhat that person'swearing. I wanna dressthis style" or do you justthink, you have your ownstyle and you don't care if it fits into a mold.
Melissa:
I think it's a mix.I think that sometimes I'llsee something thatsomeone's wearing andI'll like it or wantsomething similar andthen of course that mixesin with things I alreadyhave, but I also like tomake my own clothes, and remake clothes andthings and things like that,so sometimes I'll remakesomething and realizethat I need a sweater or something to go with itand then I'll just buy itbased on something elseI already have.
Todd:
Oh, so you makeyour own clothes?
Melissa:
Yeah, I don't doit from scratch a lot.Sometimes I'll go to acraft store and buy fabricand then cut it up andmake a shirt from fabric, but often take a shirt or pants I already have andmake into something.Like, I recently was livingwith a couple of roommates and myroommate was getting ridof all her old jeans so I cuther jeans up and cut asweater up I had and thenI made it into a jacket.
Todd:
Oh, nice.
Melissa:
Yeah.
Todd:
And you still haveit.
Melissa:
Totally. I wear itall time.
Todd:
Cool. Alright, well,thanks Melissa.
