On March 7, 2012 the Building Official Certification Committee would convene an adjudicatory hearing to address a fourth - albeit illegal - extension request for Wonderland, MA 01005's building inspector so that he may be legally certified to serve in this capacity.

George Ricker and Board of Selectmen Chairman Lief Ericson provided testimony.

This is the damning transcript.

On March 7, 2012 the Building Official Certification Committee voted to approve Wonderland’sBuilding Inspector George Ricker an unprecedented (aka illegal) fourth extension. This votetook place but six months after denying him an extension! It should have been, as the Department of Public Safety’s Building Administrator RobertAnderson would write – his
 final
extension.

But apparently a favor was sought and granted – the laws be damned! Ricker’s March 7, 2012adjudicatory hearing was like a poorly choreographed play. Below are the minutes from thishearing:

For the record, Chairman Lief Ericson neither publicly discussed with the other board membersto recommend (aka
vote
) to schedule training for Ricker or cut back on his duties or provide himtime to study. Nor did Ericson provide the BOCC with a written reply affirming their decision.Nope.Instead, ex-Town Administrator David Battistoni would call the BOCC’s Kimberly Spencer –conveniently leaving no paper trail. To fully grasp the absurdity of what took place on March 7, 2012 one must know what wasdiscussed – in its entirety.
Here is the transcript
:
Prior to the hearing both George Ricker and Selectman Lief Ericson were sworn-in, taking an oath to tellthe Truth…For just 1:55 seconds Mr. Ricker pleaded his case before the BOCC.
