Hi everyone. Even though it’s spring it’s still kind of cold (what's up with that). I’ma little disappointed that it's still cold but I’m holding out hope that it will warm upsoon. There’s a few things coming up this month. There is a walking group that isgoing on Wednesday mornings at 10am. Renters rebate are taking people now andwe are going to be bringing back the executive board meetings during lunch on amonthly basis. We hope that this will get people involved. If you havenot paid your dues get them paid now Mike is still taking money. Ihope to see you all soon at the club.Sylvia H.March showers (or this year snow) have brought April flowers. I’m so glad thatthe spring has arrived. At the club things are getting busy. We are now going tobe holding Executive meetings during lunches hopeful this will give us moreparticipation from you folks out there. Mikes walking group is going well. Weoften walk up at the Shelton nature walk which is near the Shelton high school.All these years I’ve lived in town and never new the trails were there and trailsare really beautiful, much nicer than walking in town. You shouldreally join us. We are also getting ready for May is Mental Healthwhich is always really fun and busy. Keep an eye on the newslettercalendar for all the activities and updates.Your Pres. The next “Masters Table “ will be April 28th from 4 to6pm at Christ's Church in Ansonia. All are welcome of course and donations are always greatly appreciated!Bounce into spring with chair and ball exerciseclass. We are starting up our low impact chairaerobics class on Thursday mornings at 9 am.Beginning May 2nd. This class will be open to all fullor partial members.Hi, I’m Lori L. I’m writing this to let you know about my new life.I’m really happy because I’ve broken a lot of habits I’ve had forten years. I’ve learned skills and worked really hard. A lot of people have noticed the change and so have I. You too canchange if you are willing to work hard and learn new skills. Mylife is much easier now.

May Game Day
Do you like having a good time ? Do you want to play new andexciting games with friends old and new? Join us may 2nd to havesome fun on Game Day with your peers. There will be three differentone and a half hour gaming sessions starting at 10 am,then12:30pmand 2:30pm. These are the favorite games we play at sober Social. Sign ups will beposted at the Valley Social Club. Their will be a limit of twelve people per gamingsession. I hope to see you there. Please call Will B. at Extension 1129 if you haveany questions.

The club members and staff would like to extend our deepest sympathyto Tanya and Susan for the loss of their family members. In MarchTanya lost her mother and Susan lost her sister. The club is here foryou both.
MAY IS MENTAL HEALTH IS FAST APPROACHING!
Well its hard to believe we are already planning our annual “May Is Mental Health” activities. Shoreline and Valley are coming together as one big team to give themembers and public something to talk about this year! Here are a few of the greatactivities to look forward too!We will be having an art show in the Branford library (May 3rd) and the Valley willbe doing it’s own art show (TBA).The Day of Hope poetry contest has a new theme. This year the theme is"Inspiration”. So all who are poets and writers should enter this years contest! Thedate for the contest is May 15, 12-1pm were we will be picking years winning poet!New this year is a talent show on May 20th from 1-3pm. So come enjoy the fun!There will be a cook out at Shoreline with music provided by Phyllis, our ClubCoordinator for the celebration on May 29th from 1-4pm.There will be many more great activities so look for the May is Mental HealthCalendar in our May Newsletter!
