Israel. We will stop at Kunietra near a former UN checkpoint andview the Golan Heights while our guide explains the controversialand strategic points of this tract of land. Then we will descendto the site of Banias where springs form a source of the JordanRiver. Near here Peter made his great confession that JesusChrist was Lord! From several vantage points today we can seeMount Herman in the distance. Then we’ll gather on the Mountof Beatitudes by the Sea of Galilee to read the Sermon on theMount while overlooking the Jordan Valley. On the return to ourhotel in Tiberias we’ll stop on the banks of the Jordan River for abaptismal service (B/L/D).
Day 5 - TIBERIAS - BET SHE’AN - GIDEON SPRINGS -JERICHO - DEAD SEA
This morning we will leave the Galilee area travel south throughthe Jordan River Valley. Today youwill see Bible prophecy come alive.Our first stop will be at GideonSprings where Gideon chose hisarmy to fight the Midianites. Aftera brief worship service travel ashort distance to Bet She’an andsee the excavations of the citywhere the Philistines hung thebodies of Saul and Jonathan. Thenwe will travel through the JordanValley to Jericho, one of the oldestcities in the world. If conditionspermit, we will enter Jerichoto see the excavations of the ancient walls, view the Mount of Temptation, and see Elijah’s Spring. Our hotel tonight is locatedon the shores of the Dead Sea. The Dead Sea is 1300 feet belowsea level and is the lowest spot on the earth (B/L/D).
Day 6 - DEAD SEA - ARAD
After an awesome breakfast buffet we will travel to Arad, the oldestBronze Age city in the northern Negev. It was near this area thatAbraham stayed and led his sheep. At Arad we will see a broad-room style house, the border fortress that protected against theEdomites, as well as the remains of an Israelite temple. Afterlunch we will return to our hotel on the Dead Sea for an afternoonof leisure. Be sure you take time to swim in the Dead Sea or thefreshwater pool and spa. The waters are made up of 25% saltand are so dense that it’s impossible to sink. You can literally situp in the water as if you were in a chair (B/L/D).
Day 7 - MASADA - EIN GEDI - OLD JERICHO ROAD -JERUSALEM
Today we leave the Dead Sea and begin our journey to Jerusalem.We will first visit the mountain fortress of Masada, truly aremarkable piece of history. We will ascend by cable car to visitthe magnificent ruins of the fortress where the Jewish zealotsmade the last stand of the Judean revolt against Rome. Today theremains of Herod’s buildings, palaces, storehouses, cisterns, anda 6th Century Byzantine church are still in view. Then we’ll drivealong the shores of the Dead Sea to Ein Gedi, a green oasis inthe middle of the desert, and see the area where David hid whilefleeing from King Saul. After lunch we will stop and view the St.George Monastery, an active monastery since the 5th century,
Day 1 - DEPART USA
Today we meet at our international departure airport where ourhost will assist with check-in formalities. This evening we willenjoy a delicious dinner high above the Atlantic.
Day 2 - ARRIVE TEL AVIV - JOPPA
Welcome Home -- to the Land of your Bible! We arrive in Tel Avivthis morning. Upon arrival, we will be met by our TEMPLETONTOURS representative who will assist us through customs. Afterairport procedures have been completed, we will visit Joppa,Jonah’s port of embarkation for Tarshish. Joppa was also thehome of Tabitha (or Dorcas) who was raised from the dead byPeter. It was also here that Peter learned that God was interestedin the salvation of the Gentiles. After our tour of Joppa we willtransfer to our hotel for dinner and overnight (D).
Day 3 - TEL AVIV - CAESAREA - MEGIDDO - NAZARETH- TIBERIAS
After breakfast at our hotel we will meet our local guide anddriver and begin our tour of the Holy Land. Our first stop will beCaesarea by the sea. There we will visit the Crusaders’ castle,the Roman amphitheater, the seaport from which the Apostle Paulsailed to Rome, and the Roman aquaduct system. Continue alongthe coast to Mount Carmel to see the site of Elijah’s triumph overthe prophets of Baal. After lunch we continue north to Megiddoon the Plain of Armageddon to see King Solomon’s stables andwater supply system. Prophecy will come alive at Megiddo as welook over the Valley of Armageddon, site of the final world war!We then travel to Nazareth, the boyhood home of Jesus, to visitthe oldest of the churches of the annunciation and Mary’s well.On our way to Tiberias we will stop in the little town of Canawhere Christ turned the water into wine. We will hold a shortceremony in an ancient church for the couples who wish to renewtheir marriage vows. Then we’ll proceed to our hotel in Tiberiason the Sea of Galilee for dinner and overnight (B/L/D).
Day 4 - TIBERIAS - SEA OF GALILEE - CAPERNAUM/CAESAREA PHILIPPI
After breakfast we take a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee.While on the boat we’ll pause for a brief worship service andremember the many miracles our Lord performed in this area.We’ll dock at Nof Ginossar to visit the “Jesus Boat” museum tosee a boat that dates back to the time of Jesus. Then we willstop at the Primacy of Peter where Jesus commanded Peter to “Feed my sheep”. Then we’ll proceed to Capernaum to see theremains of an early church, the ruins of Peter’s house, and theancient synagogue. After lunch we’ll travel through Northern

and we will get a glimpse of “the Valley of the Shadow of Death”.We’ll also visit the traditional Good Samaritan Inn. Then we’lldrive to Jerusalem, capital of Israel for over 3000 years. Uponarrival in Jerusalem our guide will lead us in the traditional Jewishwelcome, a custom which dates back to the time of Abraham.Dinner and overnight will be at our hotel in Jerusalem (B/L/D).
Day 8 - MOUNT OF OLIVES - DOMINUS FLEVIT - SHRINEOF THE BOOK - MODEL CITY - BETHLEHEM
This morning we’ll begin our tour on the Mount of Olives. TheMount of Olives offers us a breathtaking view of the city of Jerusalem. While we are here, our guide will point out all theimportant sites of Jerusalem. Weather permitting, we will thenwalk down the Palm Sunday Road to the Dominus Flevit Church,commemorating the time when Jesus wept over the city of Jerusalem (Luke 19:41). Then we will get back on our bus andtravel to the Shrine of the BookMuseum and see where some of the Dead Sea Scrolls are kept.We will also visit the Model City of Jerusalem as it was in 69 AD. Afterlunch we will travel to Bethlehem,birthplace of Jesus, to visit theChurch of the Nativity, built overthe cave of Christ’s birth. Wewill also see the ancient crafts of Bethlehem dating from Crusadertimes. If the situation permits, wewill visit the Plains of Boaz and theShepherd’s field to see caves where shepherds kept their sheep.We will also pass Rachel’s Tomb. Time permitting, we will visitone of the famous Bethlehem gift shops, then return to our hotelfor dinner and overnight (B/L/D).
DAY 9 - TEMPLE MOUNT - ST. ANNE’S CHURCH - POOLSOF BETHESDA - SOUTH WALL EXCAVATIONS - YADV’SHEM
Today we will enter the Old City of Jerusalem for the first timeand embark on an exciting walking tour! We’ll enter the OldCity through the Dung Gate and, if conditions permit, we willascend to the Temple Mount where the Jewish temple stood untilits destruction in 70 A.D. If possible, we will walk on the TempleMount and pass the Dome of the Rock Mosque built over therock where Abraham prepared to sacrifice Isaac. We’ll also passthe Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Golden Gate. Then we’ll visit thebeautiful Crusader Church dedicated to St. Anne and the nearbyPool of Bethesda. Afterwards we will visit the Southern Wallexcavations. Here we will stand on the very steps where Jesustaught on several occasions. Our next stop will be at Antonia’sFortress, site of Pilate’s Palace. After lunch we we will visit theYad V’Shem, a museum built in memory of the six million Jewsmurdered during World War II. We will then return to our hotelfor dinner and overnight (B/L/D).
Day 10 - WESTERN WALL TUNNEL - PILATE’S PALACE- TEMPLE INSTITUTE - JEWISH QUARTER - KING DAVID’STOMB - UPPER ROOM
On our third day in Jerusalem we will re-enter the Old City of Jerusalem for another walking tour. Our first stop is the WesternWall (Wailing Wall). We will also visit the Western Wall and Tunnelexcavation site. We will continue our walk through the Old Cityto the Fortress of Antonia, site of Pilate’s Palace. We will pass thetraditional 14 Stations of the Cross, walk on the Via Dolorosa, andsee part of the old colorful bazaar. Our walk will also take us torestored Jewish Quarter and the Roman Cardo. Along the waywe will visit the Museum of the Temple Treasures to see many of the recreated elements for the proposed new temple. We will endour tour today with a visit to the Upper Room and the traditionalTomb of King David. This afternoon is at leisure to perhapsenter the Old City of Jerusalem for some additional sightseeing,photography, shopping for souvenirs, or reflecting on the greatamount of history that surrounds you. You may also choose torest and relax at the hotel (B/L/D).
Day 11 - GETHSEMANE - POOL OF SILOAM - CAIAPHAS’HOUSE - CALVARY - GARDEN TOMB
This is our last day in Jerusalem so we want to make the mostof it. We will start today’s tour with a visit to the Garden of Gethsemane. We will pause here for a private worship serviceand meditate in the area where Jesus had His agony and wasbetrayed. From this vantage point we also get an excellent viewthe Eastern gate. As we reflect on Jesus’ great sacrifice for oursins, we can look ahead with great anticipation as we await hisimminent return. After our worship service we will take a shortwalk through the Valley of the Tombs. Along the way we will passthe traditional tombs of Absalom and Ezra. After our walk we willvisit the recent archaeological discovery of the Pool of Siloam.This is the place where Jesus told the blind man to wash the mudfrom his eyes so he would see. Afterwards, we will travel a shortdistance to the House of Caiaphas where Peter denied Christ threetimes. After lunch we will view King Solomon’s Rock Quarry, thenvisit Calvary and the Garden Tomb, a peaceful spot where wewill have a private communion service as we reflect on Christ’scrucifixion, burial, and resurrection. This evening we will enjoy adelicious dinner at our hotel (B/L/D).
Day 12 - TEL AVIV - USA
Today our memorable journey comes to an end. We will transferto the airport in Tel Aviv and board the plane for our return flighthome. In flight we can fellowship with our friends and rememberthe many things we shared together.
