Avis MacLellan, owner of  The Model’s Studio, and Isat down for a cup of tea in her lovely home and Iwas allowed to record the answers to some verytough questions that every young girl in Americais asking these days.In the face of the extremely popular reality show,"America's Next Top Model," featuring Tyra Banks, and all the other "how to make it big, get rich andfamous" TV shows...every young lady (and fewhot guys) wants to know how they can "make it"in the world of modeling.
I asked Avis,
"What is the reality of a girl making it as a Top Model if they comefrom a small town?"

explains to the Sentinel

howshe “MADE IT” as a Top Model
...
Her answers in the video are verypoignant, and her conclusion is real.“Sure, you can become a Top Modelif you live in a small town...or a bigcity. HOWEVER, you are going tohave to
learn the business inside and out no matter where you live!”
Avis says, "There are some very beautiful girls are considered short. They do notmeet the over 6ft tall criteria for becoming a Runway Model. What they must do is figure out "what kind" of model they are...Catalog Model,Editorial Model, etc...and then study very hard to learn the modeling industry insideand out." This is a very brief first interview with the former supermodel, Avis MacLellan. Avisis currently a SC Certified Instructor and Owner of The Model's Studio, in theCharleston suburb of Summerville, South Carolina. More detailed videos are tocome.

Of the utmost importance is the dissemination of current, relevant information right from the source: Avis MacLellan, former Top Runway,Print, Ad, Catalog and High Fashion Model.
Bottom line is: If you want to be a TOP MODEL, you need to ask a TopModel.
You need to be trained by a Top Model! You need to hear frank advice fromsomeone who actually knows the modeling industry, not pay thousands of dollars toa cookie cutter so called "modeling/talent agency" that promises you fame in asmall town and has no way to deliver that to you at all.Avis is so unique in that, if she feels you remotely have what it takes to be a TopModel, she will take you to NYC herself and walk you right into her old Agency andget you in front of the ones who have the power to "make you." Not kidding. Justask her: 843-261-9696. Avis invites questions about the modeling industry. What is happening all over America right now are families scraping up thousands of bucks they don't really have to spare to send their girls to nationally campaignedmodeling schools who say they are going to get you in front of talent scouts. What YOU DON'T KNOW is that they put you on a runway at a convention that THEYsponsor and put you in front of scouts that are paid to be there. One of the largest modeling schools in the US invites modeling scouts to be at theirconventions and conferences and pays their way to be there, puts them up in nicehotels, and makes it like a vacation to be there. They have no intention of scoutingyou out as a Top Model! If a model has the potential to work in a national or international market, his or herlocal mother agency should be able to do the placement, or get them seen by thebest agencies worldwide. That's what Avis MacLellan does at The Model's Studio andher classes are only about $20.00 each - and you get marvelous photos for yourportfolio, too.
The next series of videos is going to expose the rip offs and the cons out there trying to rip away the dreams of our young people!
