SGA Presidential Platform Corinne Williams, Junior, is running for SGA President.

I Previous leadership experience: a 2011-2012 SGA Sophomore Senator b 2011-2012 Gay-Straight Alliance Secretary c 2012-2013 SGA Treasurer d 2011- Present Head Cashier at Js Seafood Dock II Goals for upcoming school year: a Addressing the needs of students: One of my main goals, if elected SGA President, would be to directly address the needs of students. I think the President of the Student Government should know to the best of their ability what students want and how the president can relate and address the students needs. b Unifying Classes: I think class rivalries are fun and important, however, our student body should be united in several aspects to properly voice our needs to the administration. c Promoting School spirit: I strongly believe in school participation. One of my major goals in school spirit is to give people incentive and reason to be proud to be a lion. III School Event Ideas and Enhancement: a The biggest major change I would like to add to school wide events are Quarterly Town Halls, hosted by the Executive Board for the student body. The idea of the town hall is to promote student involvement, and to bridge communication on a school wide level to the leadership b I would like to implement, during Spirit Week, a major community service aspect. I would like to see community service opportunities available the week before homecoming where the classes work together in the community for spirit week points.

I believe that anyone can find their place at Lusher Charter School. By community involvement, club engagement, being active in sports, or creating art, a young adult can find their passion and place at Lusher. The environment of Lusher is open and becoming, therefore, young people have several opportunities.
