All of them are attached by at least oneend to some parts of the skeleton (e. g.pectoralis major).
 
 
Most of them over the joints
The number of the joints thatthe muscle acts on depends on howmany joints it overs.Generally, a muscle covers atleast one or more joints, if a musclecovers some joints, it is certain thatthe muscle act on the overlappedjoints. (e. g. biceps brachii)
