Stephen E. Meltzer, Esq.
concentrates his practice in two general areas, business law and real
estate development law. Mr. Meltzer is certified as an information privacy professional by theInternational Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). For his business clients, he assists inthe full life-cycle of non-profit, traditional and high-technology ventures including privacyregulation and compliance, choice of entity and formation decisions, tax-exempt status,partnership, capitalization and financing, contracting, licensing and intellectual property matters,
and the resolution of business disputes and other challenges. For his real estate developmentclients he focuses on real estate development, affordable housing, permitting, land use and zoningmatters, as well as the corporate, partnership and other business issues inherent in the business of development.Mr. Meltzer is the founder and executive director of the Land Conservation and Advocacy Trust,Inc., a start-up non-profit organization with a mission to conserve and preserve open spaces and
natural resources by providing immediate response and emergency funding and legal assistancefor advocacy and acquisition.
In addition, Mr. Meltzer is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the NewEngland School of Law where he has taught Legal Research and Writing, and Internet Law and
Practice. Mr. Meltzer is a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals in Framingham and the Boardof the Michael Lisnow Respite Center in Hopkinton. He has also served as President of the Boardof the Dismas House of Massachusetts, as a Mock Trial Coach in the Worcester Middle Schoolsand as a Human Rights Committee Member for Charles River Health Management. Mr. Meltzeris a graduate of Brandeis University and New England School of Law (magna cum laude). He
was the lead articles editor of the New England Law Review.
