FUTURE with Going to

We use going to to express future actions, plans, predictions and

intentions. When we are saying what someone else has decided to do, we also
use going to.

It is used with the following time expressions:

soon
shortly
in a few hours

tonight
tomorrow
in a few days

next weekend
next month
next year

It is formed with the Simple Present of the verb TO BE + going to + bare infinitive of the
main verb.

Affirmative Form:
I am going to travel.
You are going to travel.
He/She/It is going to travel.
We are going to travel.
You are going to travel.
They are going to travel.

Negative Form:
I am not going to travel.
You are not going to travel.
He/She/It is not going to travel.
We are not going to travel.
You are not going to travel.
They are not going to travel.

Interrogative Form:
Am I going to travel?
Are you going to travel?
Is he/she/it going to travel?
Are we going to travel?
Are you going to travel?
Are they going to travel?

Build up sentences following the model:

Gary/play football/next Saturday
= Gary is going to play football next Saturday.
Gary/not play football/next Saturday = Gary is not going to play football next Saturday.
Gary/play football/next Saturday/?
= Is Gary going to play football next Saturday?
