Le Nevez, Adam (2006) Language diversity and linguistic identity in Brittany: a critical analysis of the changing practice of Breton; unpublished PhD thesis, University of Technology, Sydney (UTS)
This thesis explores the ways in which Breton, a lesser-used language spoken in Western France, is changing from a critical, socio-linguistic perspective. It looks at what motivates young people to learn Breton and the ways in which the language is represented symbolically and discursively, particularly in relation to language activism and language policy.
