SPRING NOTEBOOK 
THE 2013 LINEUP
Six schools will be making their debut in Con-ference USA this fall, joining eight remainingmembers. The 2013 alignment will featureseven teams in both the East and West Di-visions. East Carolina, FAU, FIU, Marshall,Middle Tennessee, Southern Miss and UABcomprise the East Division, while LouisianaTech, North Texas, Rice, Tulane, Tulsa, UTEPand UTSA make up the West Division.The 14-team alignment for the 2013 seasonwill feature each team playing eight confer-ence games, along with four non-league con-tests. Each school will play every team inits division once for six games, while playingtwo cross-over opponents from the oppositedivision. The 2013 schedule has 14 playingweeks, which provides for two open dates foreach team.
WKU IN 2014
Western Kentucky will join Conference USAfor the 2014 football season. Located inBowling Green, Ky., the school has an en-rollment of 21,124 students and sponsors19 NCAA Division I sports. Hilltoppers foot-ball has produced 70 All-Americans at theFCS and FBS levels, transitioning to a bowleligible FBS member in 2009. WKU made

C-USA FOOTBALL MEDIA KICKOFF
The 2013 Conference USA Football MediaKickoff will take place Tuesday-Wednesday,July 23-24 in Dallas. The head coach andone student-athlete from all 14 schools arescheduled to participate. Portions of thefootball kickoff will be streamed live and Fox

SCHEDULE BREAKDOWN
Conference USA teams never shy away fromplaying challenging non-conference competi-tion and this season is no exception. Amongthe teams on C-USA’s non-conference slatein 2013 are: Arizona, Arkansas, Auburn, BoiseState, BYU, Georgia, LSU, Louisville, Miami(Fla.), Nebraska, North Carolina, NC State,Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, andVirginia Tech.A total of 24 games are scheduledagainst teams that played in a bowl gamelast season.Conference USA will face at leastone opponent from all nine of the other FBSconferences.Here’s a look at C-USA’s non-league oppo-nents by conference:

C-USA ON FOX
Conference USA has a multi-year agreementfor national television rights with Fox SportsMedia Group that runs through the 2015-16athletic year.FOX Sports Networks (FSN) will provide avariety of C-USA events, including football,men’s and women’s basketball, and other C-USA sports. This agreement, in conjunctionwith C-USA’s extended partnership with CBS
SportsNetwork,willprovideasignicantin
-crease in revenue, as well as the number of events distributed and the overall exposurefor the conference.According to terms of the agreement, FSNwill showcase a minimum of 20 regular-sea-son football games per season, a minimum
of10regular-seasonmen’sandvewomen’s
basketball games, and a variety of Olympicsports events. The C-USA football champion-ship game will also be carried on FSN, FX orthe FOX Network. FSN programming is dis-tributed nationally to more than 85 millionhomes through more than two dozen owned
andafliatedregionalsportsnetworks.
C-USA ON CBS SPORTS NETWORK 
Conference USA will have at least 15 foot-ball games televised nationally on CBS SportsNetwork this season. This season marks theeighth year that C-USA has been in partner-ship with CBS Sports Network. The contract
includessignicantnationalandregionalex
-posure for football, men’s and women’s bas-ketball and other C-USA sports. CBS CollegeSports Network is widely available on cablesystems across the country and via satelliteon DIRECTV Channel 613 (Premier Packageand Sports Pack) and Dish Network Channel152 (America’s Top 200 Package).
