LT. COL. JOHN E. COLEMAN,
MAJ. BERTRAM H. WHITE,
MONDAY, DECEMBER 18th, is a date tobear in mind. At 5:30 PM on that day yourAssociation's annual meeting will be held at theArmy and Navy Club, 1627 Eye St., NW, herein Washington. All members who are in thisvicinity at that time are both cordially invitedand urged to attend. You will enjoy it.
EFFECTIVE with this issue our "pony"edition for overseas readers will be reproducedby an entirely new process. Type will besharper, but more important is the infinitelygreater clarity given the illustrations. It is adefinite improvement.
NEXT MONTH will bring a fine account of the use of medium artillery in Burma. Thisdifficult and important theater is too littleknown. We are glad to help shed light on it.
M-12s were a mainstay in our rush acrossFrance and Belgium. Their work will beoutlined.
Also "in the works" is one of the finestforward observer stories of the war. We hope tooto publish articles on night aerial observation, and on obtaining locations by sound.
As always, the backbone of the January
will be accurate, authentic, and usefularticles direct from combat areas.
RECENTLY several cases have come tolight where expiration notices and statementshave been delivered although no
hadbeen received for months. These, of course, were instances where the members had failedto give us their changes of address. First classmail receives directory service and isforwarded overseas; second class matter doesnot follow you automatically.
In these cases no
had beenreturned by the Post Office Department, towarn us of non-delivery. Obviously some one atthe old stations was enjoying a "free ride."
If your friends aren't receiving theirmagazines (or if you read this in a friend'scopy, your own being missing),
please notify usat once of the correct address
