The existing facility does not use modular buildings. The exterior wall construction of the facility is load-bearing masonry insulated cavity walls or steel frame with masonry insulated cavity wall infill. Interior walls are of load-bearing concrete masonry unit type wall construction or non-load-bearing metal stud and gypsum board partitions. The floor system consists of concrete slab on grade lower floors and concrete on metal form deck on steel beams for the second floor framing. The roof structure is a combination of steel trusses and steel joists. The roofing system of the facility is approximately 80% standing seam metal and 20% adhered membrane, installed in 1999. Description:
The existing system for the facility is a natural gas hot water system, installed in 1999, and is in fair condition. The two hot water boilers, manufactured by Well McLain, were installed in 1999 and are in fair condition. Heating water is distributed to terminal units consisting of air handlers and VAV boxes. The terminal equipment was installed in 1999 and is in fair condition. The kitchen and locker rooms are equipped with heating only ceiling mounted cabinet heaters in fair condition. Description:
The roof over approximately 80% of the facility is a standing seam metal system that was installed in 1999, and is in good condition. The roof over the remaining 20% (kitchen, auxillary gym, and connecting corridor) is a Carlisle adhered membrane roofing system that was installed in 1999, and is in fair condition. Description:
The majority of the facility is equipped with a central air conditioning system in fair condition. The kitchen and the locker rooms are equipped with heating only ceiling mounted cabinet heaters. Cooling is provided by a Marley NC Series cooling tower which feeds 2 carrier chillers. Description:
The electrical system provided to the facility is a 480 / 277 volt, 3000 amp, 3 phase 4 wire system installed in 1999, and is in good condition. Power is provided to the school by a district owned, pad-mounted transformer located in the rear of the school, and in good condition.
