About Grassroutes
Grassroutes is a Fellowship Program which funds youth to go on road-trips for social change. Travelingacross India, meeting change-makers, working with social ventures, learning developmental issues, livingon less than $1 a day, these youth return with stories of social change; and the program enables them touse these stories to drive campaigns and become change agents themselves.An initiative of a non-profit for-impact society Youth Factor, Grassroutes aims to be a novel socialventure driving youth to social action in India. The Grassroutes mantra is
to use travel as a means toenable youth to be change agents
.
 
Why should you join us?
 
 
We're young, with an average team age at 23 years
 
We're small, so you'll get to have a huge impact on who we are, and what we do

You will work on projects that are designed to break the 'boring' mold on social change
 
As part of our team, you will be your own boss, taking ideas from concept to launch andbeyond
Where? When?
 
For the part-time and full-time positions we prefer if you are in Bengaluru. For part-timepositions you can work on while comfortably sitting on your favorite couch at home. Thepositions start as soon as we find you.
 
All positions are for a 1-month period, unless stated otherwise. After the 1 month, if we share alot of love in between us, we will beg you to take up a permanent part-time position in the team
 
If your profile (skill sets and experience) makes our jaw drop, we might consider giving you apermanent position in the team without having to go through an internship phase

Who should apply?
 
If you are one of those young crazyentrepreneurial ones with a gleam in your eyes which says 'I can change the world', this is the place for you. This is where we call you a genius.
 
Superhuman organizational skills and a self-starter attitude is a must. (It's ok if you don't know afew things, but you must be a quick learner). Preference given to those who are articulate, haveoutstanding people skills and a craving to redefine how youth perceive social change.
 
You should also satisfy the specific requirements for each of the positions.

Work on planning and smooth implementation of fellowship program
 
Ambassador for Grassroutes at different conferences and forumsRequirements

Campus Outreach Intern
Responsibilities
 
 
Establish relations with groups/organizations/clubs in campuses
 
Identify and pursue synergistic opportunities through campus collaborations
 
In-charge of identifying and following up with campus champions of Grassroutes
 
Identify colleges, conferences and other platforms where Grassroutes or Fellows can talk abouttheir storyRequirements
 
Prior experience in handling correspondence/outreach for college fests/events is a plus.
 
Proven high-impact networking skills are a plus.
Design/Branding Consultant
 Responsibilities
 
Provide web design support
 
Design posters, banners and other marketing materials for both print and online media.
 
In-charge of all print design needed for brochures, reports, letterheads, business cards.
 
Support creative packaging of stories, for use in conferences and talksRequirements
 
A (stunning) online portfolio
 
Good knowledge of HTML, Wordpress, Widgets
Online Community Manager Intern/Consultant
 Responsibilities
 
Curate the blog/Facebook/Twitter/Vimeo accounts
 
Communicate and converse with the community
 
Organize meetups/tweetups.Requirements
 
 
Go through the We are Mediaproject: to help non-profits use social media.
 
Active blogger/twitterer.
 
Prior experience in online community management is a huge plus.
 
Prior experience in organizing tweetups / barcamps is a plus.
